Interactive Room

Turnberry Resort, one of the most enchanting hotel's in Scotland, stands sentinel above historic Ayrshire lands. Turnberry Resort has recently completed a multi-million pound renovation programme focusing on the restoration of the iconic public spaces and 46 of its 150 luxuriously appointed guest rooms.

The Challenge

The client approached us and asked us to create an interactive online experience that would showcase their newly renovated Deluxe Ocean View Rooms.

Our Solution

We created a slick interactive flash piece that acts as a guided tour around the features of the new rooms. Users are invited to click around the room to explore highlighted features such as the luxurious bathroom, beautiful beds and original artworks hanging on the walls. The piece also shows off the kind of view visitors can expect from these rooms by using a live webcam feed from the roof of the hotel. The famous Turnberry Golf Course is also promoted in this piece - when the user clicks on the TV footage from the Open plays.

We put together this short video from flyover and golf championship footage supplied by the client.

The Results

The interactive room explorer was promoted by the client by sending out the information and link in a e-newsletter to their mailing list.

This newsletter and explorer was so successful in driving enquiries and bookings that a link to the explorer has featured on the Turnberry Resort website homepage since the campaign and continues to be one of the most popular links clicked on the website homepage!
