Smokehead is an award winning Islay single malt Scotch whisky developed by Ian Macleod Distillers.
The Challenge
After the great success of the Glengoyne shop. We were commissioned by Ian Macleod to design and build a Smokehead online shop.
Our Response
Smokehead is targeted at a young affluent demographic, so the design had to reflect the Smokehead brand; dark, mysterious and a bit rock 'n' roll.
The backend of the shop was built using the eBay-owned and market-leading e-commerce software Magento. Magento has been used by many high profile companies such as Fox, Nokia, Olympus, Ford and even Barack Obama during his first presidential campaign.
The Smokehead Shop has just been launched by The Weather and is already providing success with sales of bottles and merchandise globally.
