Sacred Scotland publishes regional guides for visitors, tourists and pilgrims to explore Scotland's rich heritage and traditions. It provides access information on Scotland's churches of all denominations.
The Challenge
While the publications provided a good way of getting access to the information on all the churches in the scheme they could not have "current" information in the guides due to the gap between publications.
Sacred Scotland needed a website that made it much easier for people to find out about the rich church heritage.
The Solution
We created the website to complement and enhance the regional guides. Visitors can search for information about specific churches, search for churches in an area or find out about the latest events happening at the churhces.
One of the key concerns was to eliminate any kind of resource bottleneck at Sacred Scotland in keeping the informtion up to date. Our content management system therefore allows the 1200 + Sacred Scotland’s member churches to join and keep their church details maintained and accurate.
